House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) led a media briefing on Monday, criticizing President Biden’s management of the southern border and predicting worsening conditions post-Title 42.
This is the public health-related immigration allocation that allows accelerated expulsion for illegal immigrants, which expires on May 23.
#BREAKING: Arizona, along with two other Republican states, are filing a lawsuit against the Biden Administration to stop the lifting of Title 42.

Situation at the Border
Republican lawmakers said Monday the border problem is already a national security concern, emboldening multinational drug traffickers and rendering “every county a border county.”
Also, when McCarthy and his GOP colleagues visited the border earlier, illegal immigrants said they came because of Biden’s statements.
Many Republicans, notably McCarthy, blame Biden for the massive influx of illegal immigrants, partly negating Trump’s border security initiatives.
Joe Biden's reckless border policies have allowed 2+ million foreigners to enter our country illegally via the southern border. Revoking Title 42 will supercharge the skyrocketing flow of illegal aliens, increasing drug, human and sex trafficking.
This is a dereliction of duty!

During a Q&A session, McCarthy stated the border problem boils down to the basis of the nation, the security of the country, human trafficking, and fentanyl.
McCarthy also said Biden could’ve started by saying, ‘Don’t come.’ “He can start by guarding the border in whatever way he wants, but he stopped the wall’s construction on his first day.”
“It’s only because a judge ordered him to do it. Still, they’re not upholding it,” McCarthy said, referring to a Trump-era border regulation that Biden withdrew, only for it to be reinstated.
“How many do you expect will be at the border next month? How many individuals already know what May 23rd is?” McCarthy asked journalists.
Former US Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott told the Daily Wire if Title 42 is repealed, a “tsunami” of illegal immigration will enter the country.
Drugs and Harm to the US
Rep. John Katko (R-NY) slammed the president’s border policy and warned about the dangers of illegal drugs coming into the country.
It’s important to remember every city and state is a border state because of the poison going across our borders. It’s easier because the number of illegal aliens crossing makes it hard to halt, and it kills youngsters all around the country.
The Border Patrol recently estimated they would meet 8,000 illegal aliens per day this spring before Title 42 expires.
According to top DHS officials who briefed the media on Tuesday, the Department of Homeland Security expects up to 18,000 migrants a day at the southern border if Title 42 is repealed.
While the open border has been profitable for Mexican gangs, it puts the US in danger. A minimum of $4,000 is required to cross the border, according to Katko.
Previously, estimates ranged from $4,000 to $10,000. 8,000 a day times $4,000 equals $32 million a day, or $1 billion a month for cartels. So, what do they do with it?
They’re investing in making their fentanyl, instead of importing it from China. They invest in cybercrime. They are constructing criminal nations and nation-states within Mexico.
Katko said this could “unravel” Mexico, which could be a new threat to the US.
