In October 2021, Alec Baldwin shot dead cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of a movie.
The film is named Rust and is a Western that still remains unfinished. The incident happened in Bonanza City, New Mexico; so far, Baldwin has faced no consequences.
Despite tearful interviews saying how depressed he feels, the star is off the hook and even has a new baby his wife recently welcomed to the world.
Though now that could be changing. Santa Fe District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies says Baldwin and three others may face charges in the shooting death of Hutchins and the non-fatal shooting of director Joel Souza.
Case Closed? Not So Fast…
The accused persons may face sentences for murder and also improper use of firearms. Baldwin’s lawyer, Luke Nikas, is set to defend his wealthy client at all costs, but this prosecutor is not joking around.
DA Carmack-Altwies asked for more than $600,000 from the state to hold a trial of Baldwin and the four defendants to find justice for what happened.
Andrea Reeb has been appointed as special prosecutor in the case, which is likely to receive a lot of media attention.
Many have pointed out the double standard of other accidental shooting suspects being jailed (at minimum) for manslaughter, whereas Baldwin walks free and turns on the waterworks on national talk shows.
Talk about a double standard.

Baldwin’s Lawyer Responds
Baldwin’s personal phone has been confiscated by prosecutors. They will investigate and see his possible involvement in the crime, negligence, or criminality leading to Hutchins’ death.
Nikas said the DA doesn’t have the sheriff’s report on the crime scene yet and any pending charges are too early to comment on.
Baldwin says he’s innocent of the accidental shooting, which he claims happened unexpectedly after he was handed a gun loaded with real rounds by a production assistant.
Last month, an FBI report on the shooting was turned over to the police. The report contains an analysis of the weapon used in the scene of the film.
The weapon used by Baldwin, according to the report, was in perfect condition. It did not malfunction in tests performed in the forensic laboratory.
Nikas disputes this, claiming the replica Colt .45 had prior issues when being handled and was not safe to give to the actor for use at the time the shooting occurred.
Hutchins’ family filed suit against the people involved in the film earlier this year. For the family, her death was the direct result of neglect on set.
Specifically, they blame assistant gunsmith Gutierrez Reed and assistant director Dave Hall for the death, neither of whom have responded to the accusations.
How about this? Alec Baldwin is likely going to prison and Trump will not, ever. You go to jail for committing crimes, not for imaginary accusations by the Marxist left. That's how justice works. And it is a beautiful thing.

The Bottom Line
If Baldwin doesn’t get jail, at the minimum, Hall and Reed deserve a reckoning with justice.
