Eastern Ukrainian Railway Station Gets Hit By Russian Rocket

Russia launched missiles into eastern Ukraine on Friday, killing at least 39 civilians attempting to flee the country by the train station.

According to the state railway corporation, more than 100 individuals were injured, due to the airstrike, as well.

Reports of the Attack

According to the Donetsk provincial governor, thousands of people gathered at the Kramatorsk train station on Friday.

They were hoping to be rescued ahead of an anticipated Russian military buildup in the Donbas area at the time of the attack.

In a report, Ukrainian Railways stated two rockets were fired into Kramatorsk train station, later adding more than 30 persons were killed, and more than 100 others were injured in the rocket assault on Kramatorsk railway station.

Photographs and footage taken at the scene of the incident, according to reports, show bleeding persons sprawled on the ground, some of whom are being treated by first responders.

Several pieces of baggage, as well as an empty stroller, can be seen at the location of the explosion.

It is alleged that an unidentified fragment of the missile used in the assault, discovered at a parking lot near the railway station, has been published on social media in several photos.

According to sources, the words “For the Children” are etched on the side of the missile fragment in Russian.

On social media, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed a Tochka-U ballistic missile attacked the railway station.

As Zelensky stated in his message, which included horrific photographs of those killed in the incident, “this wickedness has no borders.”

Several additional Ukrainian authorities reported Russia was once again launching missile assaults against civilian targets in Ukraine.

Blames and Statements

According to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, “Russians were aware the railway station in Kramatorsk was crammed with people awaiting evacuation.”

In a statement, Pavlo Kyrylenko, the governor of the Donetsk area, claimed the Russian fascists were aware of where they were going and what they wanted.

“They wanted to cause panic and dread, and they wanted to seize as many people as possible.”

“This is a war crime. Russia purposefully targeted a location with many civilians, including mothers, children, and the elderly. The barbaric practices have just relocated to a new site,” Lesia Vasylenko, a Ukrainian Member of Parliament, stated.

As a result of an airstrike on the rail line, trains transporting refugees were stopped in the same zone on Thursday, according to the Ukrainian Railways company.

In a statement issued Friday, the Russian Defense Ministry stated “all assertions by delegates of the Kyiv nationalist government about the ‘rocket attack’ allegedly conducted by Russia do not reflect reality.

Pushilin, the leader of the pro-Russian separatist administration in Ukraine’s Donetsk province, said Ukrainian military services carried out the strike.
