Joe Biden seems to be increasingly confused about his own plans for the 2024 presidential election. Biden’s continuous habit of switching up his answers only feeds into the theory that he’s not really in control, despite being (at least on paper) the president.
At first, the president insisted without doubt that he’d be running for another term in the Oval Office. This was backed up by his White House.
Though Biden switched things up when he was questioned about his plans for the 2024 presidential election by 60 Minutes. This is when the president said it was a bit too early to make a call.
On Friday, when Biden spoke with MSNBC, he went back to saying he intends to pursue an additional term in the White House, per Breitbart News.
The Interview That Has America Talking
During his MSNBC interview, the president was questioned about whether or not his wife and family would be supportive of a 2024 presidential run.
In bringing up this line of question, Biden was reminded that Beau, his son who passed several years back, inspired him to run for president in the first place.
To this end, the president gave quite a word salad. He appeared to suggest his son advising him to run for the White House was more about preserving democracy.

Eventually, Biden got around to saying that a “judgment” has yet to be made regarding his involvement in the next presidential election. The president claimed this “judgment” isn’t yet set because of the rules that kick in once someone declared themselves as a candidate.
In spite of saying all this, Biden later went on to claim he very much “intends” to be a candidate in the 2024 presidential election. When MSNBC followed up by asking where the first lady stands on this, Biden said she doesn’t want him to “walk away” from his current work.
The Reality About 2024 For Biden
Truth be told, it wouldn’t be in the president’s best interest to try landing a second term in office. He’s had so many scandals and disasters happen on his watch that any candidate in a primary or general election would have a field day picking this apart.

Some Democrats are very much aware of this, believe it or not. This is why left-wing lawmakers are shying away from endorsing Biden, even when directly asked about it during debates and by reporters.
If Biden chooses to go forward with a 2024 presidential run, Republicans will have one of the smoothest paths in history to reclaiming the White House.
