In Florida, Democrats Charlie Crist and Val Demings are running for the gubernatorial and senatorial seats.
In Crist’s race against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, he’s behind by multiple points. Demings is also behind GOP Sen. Marco Rubio.
Seeing as Florida now has higher than 200,000 more Republican voters than Democrats, the odds of DeSantis and Rubio winning their elections is fairly high.
However, Democrats aren’t going to leave anything up to chance. In fact, Joe Biden will soon be heading down to Florida to campaign for Crist and Demings, as reported by The Hill.
What to Know About Biden’s Upcoming Visit to Florida
On Tuesday, September 27, Biden will visit Orlando to attend an event sponsored by the Democratic National Committee. It’s here where the president will make the case for Florida voters to turn out for Crist and Demings in November.
Crist and Biden have been proven to be fairly close, with Crist praising Biden’s largely criticized speech that vilified “MAGA Republicans.”
No one wants you in Florida, they want you in your damn office and to secure our boarders and stop treating the Ukrainian government and illegal immigrants better than people like me who live paycheck to paycheck with nothing to show for it and no help.

The Florida Democrat has adopted similar campaign tactics by referring to DeSantis as “DeSatan.” Crist is likewise on record saying he doesn’t even want the votes of Floridians who like the current governor.
Meanwhile, Demings continues to take shots at Rubio as well.
Not a Smart Political Strategy
Biden is not well-liked in Florida. This is documented by his low approval rating in the state, along with his inability to win Florida in the 2020 presidential election.
By making the trip down to Florida, Biden will essentially be preaching to the choir, as his audience will be Democrats who already hate DeSantis, Rubio, and Republicans overall.
The president won’t be changing any minds or carrying sway over the 200,000+ more GOP voters in Florida than Democratic ones. If anything, having Biden in Florida will remind the state of how disastrous things would be if Crist ever managed to get into the governor’s mansion.
Are you serious? Ron DeSantis has made Florida a much better state than any Blue governor.

Crist is on record supporting COVID vaccine mandates and basically a reversal of all the progress DeSantis has made in boosting Florida’s economy. Many people who live in Florida today moved there to get away from left-wing leadership.
A Crist administration would embody the likes of left-wing governors in New York and California. Demings, meanwhile, would simply increase the likelihood of Democrats holding onto the Senate in November.
If Crist and Demings are counting on a deeply unpopular president to take them across the finish line to victory in November, they’re going to be sorely disappointed.
What do you think about Joe Biden’s plans to visit Florida later this month to rally for Democratic candidates in the state? Do you believe this is going to make a real difference in the elections? Feel free to share your thoughts in the area for comments.
