Biden warned Russian President Vladimir Putin not to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine, claiming Putin will have to bear the far-reaching consequences of such a heinous measure.
However, Biden refused to outline the specific measures he would take in case of nuclear aggression by Russia.
Russian Nuclear Weapons Can Create Absolute Chaos
In a CBS News “60 Minutes” interview, host Scott Pelley asked Biden what he would say to Putin, who wants to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine.
Responding to this, Biden told Putin not to use nuclear weapons at any cost, adding Russia would create the biggest crisis since World War II if it relies on nuclear weapons.
Likewise, Pelley asked Biden what specific measures America would take against Russia after Putin’s use of nuclear weapons.
The president refused to tell the exact measures to the interviewer, claiming the US reaction would be directed according to the extent of chaos created by the Russian nuclear war.
"Don't. Don't. Don't. You will change the face of war unlike anything since World War II," is what President Joe Biden says he would tell President Vladimir Putin if the Russian leader is contemplating the use of tactical nuclear or chemical weapons. Biden’s comments came after the media speculated Putin could use nuclear weapons in Ukraine to achieve his strategic goals.
However, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu dismissed these notions, claiming Russia has no need to use nuclear weapons to achieve its military goals in Ukraine.
Instead, Shoigu continued, Russian nuclear weapons are only for deterrence purposes.
Shoigu accused the international media of spreading lies about Russia’s warring ambitions, stating the media is making people believe Russia will use chemical and nuclear weapons in its war, which is not the case at all.
Currently, Russia maintains almost 5,977 nuclear warheads. Putin put his nuclear forces on “special alert” after invading Ukraine in February.

Ukraine Attacks Put Russia on the Backfoot
Reportedly, Ukraine is fighting back against Russian forces.
Recently, Ukraine launched a counter-offensive strategy against Russians; a large number of Russian troops then retreated. Photos released after the Russian retreat depict blackened buildings destroyed by shelling and animals wandering unattended in the streets.
Some photos suggest dead people were brutally tortured before their murders.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted while the visuals of tortured dead bodies might be surprising for everybody else, he is not surprised by the imagery since Russian forces unleashed the same horrors in Bucha as well.
Despite receiving consistent setbacks, Putin argued his military ambitions in eastern Ukraine would not be stopped. This assertive stance of Putin’s military strategists indicates the Russian president could eventually use nuclear weapons against Ukraine.
Ukrainian prosecutor Oleksandr Filchakov stated his country is investigating Russian war crimes, which resulted in the deaths of civilians in the town of Balakliya.
Meanwhile, the international community applauded Ukraine’s tough response against Russia’s military advances.
Earlier this week, Gen. Sir Richard Shirreff of the United Kingdom stated Ukraine’s calculated response to Russia destroyed Putin’s offensive measures, which will have far-reaching consequences for the Russian forces.
However, Shirreff added the Ukrainian army will need to maintain the spree of their counter-offensive attacks, as Russia is likely to strongly retaliate.
