Naked Woman Open Fires on San Francisco Traffic

Traffic on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge was severely backed up during rush hour in the evening. This was due to a naked woman carrying a gun and a knife.

Tuesday’s incident began at 4:38 p.m.

Investigators say motorists on the Bay Bridge reported to 911 operators that a totally naked woman fired a gun at several vehicles, threatened unknown people with a knife, and tried to enter cars on the bridge.

The California Highway Patrol closed the I-80 eastbound routes close to the toll plaza and the I-80 connector entrance to I-880 in Oakland, due to the erratic woman.

Just before 6 p.m., CHP officers encountered the woman walking across the bridge and ordered her to lower her weapons.

The woman complied with the officers’ instructions and was arrested. According to the CHP, an ambulance was dispatched to the site. Then, she was taken away to the nearest hospital to undergo medical and psychiatric evaluations.

There were no reported injuries in the unusual incident.

KRON-TV received the following statement from the California Highway Patrol regarding the incident:

The California Highway Patrol Golden Gate Communications Center got a 911 call about a reckless driver on Interstate 80 heading eastbound at around 4:38 PM. The caller informed operators that the female driver showed a firearm before fleeing at a high rate of speed.

The suspect briefly halted in traffic lanes, exited her vehicle while brandishing a knife, and began yelling at other drivers. The perpetrator then re-entered her car and continued heading east.

As the suspect reached the SFOBB toll plaza, she again halted the vehicle and exited, this time entirely naked and holding a firearm.

According to witnesses, the suspect began firing shots into the air before firing at other adjacent vehicles. No injuries at this time have been reported as a result of the gunfire.
