Deployed Military Forces
Russian President Vladimir Putin deployed military forces along Ukraine’s borders, presumably in response to the risks posed by Ukraine’s eventual membership in NATO.
Putin’s team handled the annexation of Crimea and the incursion of eastern Ukraine in 2014. It now depicts the new round of tensions resulting from NATO expansion during the previous 25 years, raising the threat of a catastrophic European conflict.

They want to highlight the non-expansion of NATO and the prevention of the rollout of military hardware near the Russian border that endangers Russia’s safety.

War with Russia?
The NATO council decided in 2008 that Georgi and Ukraine should have the opportunity to join the coalition at some point.
Still, Russia infiltrated both nations in the past few years, resulting in border claims that prevent the trans-Atlantic alliance from using its mutual defense assurance to avert a conflict.

They are not kidding when they say future NATO expansion must be avoided. NATO installations and operations that are provocative to Russia must be scaled back to the proportions that existed in 1997 when the NATO-Russia Founding Treaty was established.
