A young man who sexually assaulted and killed a woman in Maryland just last summer was a recognized gang member. He was also apprehended in his home country of El Salvador before entering the United States illegally and receiving various taxpayer benefits.
Even after being accused of murder, the federal government placed the migrant offender, who bears tattoos indicating affiliation with the notoriously violent Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13), with other kids in a foster care facility.

The heinous offense occurred in Aberdeen, Maryland, approximately 25 miles northeast of Baltimore, in July 2022. Kayla Hamilton, age 20, was assaulted and killed by a 16-year-old El Salvadoran who entered the United States through the Mexican frontier.
The young immigrant, who just turned 17 by the moment he was apprehended earlier this year, was identified by DNA evidence found at the crime site.
The detectives then verified the offender was an illegal immigrant and a member of MS-13.
According to U.S. law, illegal immigrant youngsters are almost always permitted to remain in the country. They are swiftly transferred to a shelter financed by the government upon entry at the southwest border.
