Bill Clinton Advised Andrew Cuomo on Sexual Assault Scandal

Former President Bill Clinton, reportedly, gave his expert opinion to former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, regarding his sexual assault scandal.

Cuomo has been accused of harassing at least 11 women in his official circle while serving as New York governor. Similarly, Clinton was impeached for lying under oath over a sexual affair scandal with White House intern Monica Lewinsky in 1998.

Cuomo Sought “Expert Opinion” on Sexual Harassment Controversy

Politico published an excerpt from an upcoming book, “Any Given Tuesday: A Political Love Story,” written by liberal strategist Lis Smith.

The book revolves around Cuomo’s disgusting sexual harassment fiasco, which led to his resignation last year.

According to the author, she was present in a conference call, alongside other prominent Democrats, particularly Clinton, in which every strategist told Cuomo his political career was “over.”

Smith noted the scandal-ridden governor did not want the sympathy of any Democrat other than Clinton. Reportedly, Clinton asked Cuomo to directly speak to New Yorkers about the scandal to bring the political temperature down.

As per the excerpt, political strategists urged Clinton to come forward and save Cuomo using his “legendary political skills” and do the “mea culpa” himself.

Otherwise, connecting with New Yorkers would aggravate the situation even further, Democratic strategists noted. Eventually, Clinton’s idea was dropped.

Until this point, Cuomo was successfully weathering all the storms, even at a time when his two former staffers came forward to accuse him.

However, the Democratic-led legislature of New York also turned against him, which made his impeachment inevitable. This forced Cuomo to resign just a week after taking Clinton’s controversial advice.

Clinton’s Political Career Remains Stained With Harassment Allegations

Clinton, who also remained marred in sexual scandals during his White House years, has extensive experience in dealing with such controversies.

While he remained famous for his secret affair with Lewinsky during his presidential tenure, many other women also accused him of coercive sexual assault both before and after his presidency.

For instance, former Arkansas nurse Juanita Broaddrick accused Clinton of raping her in 1978 when he was serving as the attorney general of the state.

Similarly, former White House volunteer Kathleen Willey said Clinton sexually assaulted her in 1993 during his first term in the White House.

Furthermore, former Arkansas state employee Paula Jones also sued Clinton for sexual misconduct during his governorship of Arkansas in 1991.

Even Hillary Clinton remained in hot waters for her husband’s controversial character, as critics brought up the issue during her presidential elections in 2016.

Though ostensibly, the issue did not come to the forefront as most of the voters were hesitant to blame her for her husband’s actions

Clinton kept on denying all the allegations against him over the years, but he acknowledged the presence of an “improper physical relationship” with Lewinsky.

However, Cuomo is still decrying foul play; all the charges of criminal investigations against him have been dropped, due to insufficient evidence.
