Democrat Denounces the Police While Spending $450,000 for Security

Democratic candidate for the 2022 Georgia gubernatorial election Stacey Abrams, spends a staggering amount on private security, while remaining a firm advocate of police defunding.

She joins a list of many other far-left Democrats who kept on denouncing the police amid spending private money on security at the same time.

Stacey Abrams Surpassed Far-Left in Hypocrisy

According to the latest reports, the Abrams campaign’s private security spending in a four-month tenure surpassed the whole year’s spending of the far-left “Squad” combined.

Although she holds no public office, Abrams spent more than $450,000 between December 2021 to April 2022 on an Atlanta-based private security company named Executive Protection Agency (EPA).

Whereas the whole far-left Congress faction, including AOC, Ilhan Omar, Cori Bush, Jamaal Bowman, Ayanna Pressley, and Rashida Tlaib, combined spent nearly $325,000 in the whole of 2021 for the same purpose.

Even in this sum, Bush alone spent more than $200,000, while the expenditures of AOC stood at $75,000 and Ilhan Omar at $30,000.

These far-left factions often come into scrutiny for spending money on private security while preaching the police defunding movement, but Abrams defeated even the worst hypocrites of the far-left.

Speaking to Fox News, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp noted Abrams’ “double standards” are even worse than the faces of the far-left movement, which demonizes the police across the country.

He further noted Abrams’ hypocrisy is evident from the fact she is not ready to provide security to Georgian families by strengthening the police, but always spends on her own security privately.

This “dangerous agenda” of Abrams put the whole state at risk, the governor added.

In another statement, Kemp’s campaign also exposed Abrams’ duplicity. Press secretary of the Kemp campaign, Tate Miychess, noted the “jaw-dropping hypocrisy” of the Democratic candidate is evident from the inconsistencies in her words and actions.

Similarly, the secretary added that Kemp would continue aiding both police officials and the residents at the same time.

Abrams Still a Member of Anti-Police Foundation

Currently, Abrams is serving as a board member of the Marguerite Casey Foundation, which frequently calls for the abolition of different law enforcement agencies.

Despite signing the foundation’s far-left policies and issuing grants to many radical movements herself, Abrams tried to maintain distance from the police defunding narrative.

Abrams previously claimed she will increase the salaries of police after coming to power, a claim which critics believe is highly unlikely to materialize.

Even though many stakeholders have asked Abrams to resign from the board of the radical foundation, she is still reluctant to leave the position, which is financially rewarding to her.

In 2020, Abrams called police defunding “a false choice idea” and suggested police need a “transformation” and “reformation.”

Now, state officials are also fed up with Abrams, whose words differ from her practical ambitions.

When Governor Kemp accused Abrams of being “out of touch with Georgians,” more than 100 sheriffs joined him in condemning Abrams for her ties with the controversial foundation.
